None of the stuff you stash goes into a black hole because translucent plastic backs let light in so you can see interior contents and have a hole for cords. At the other end of the 61-inch-high top four steel legs keep the unit grounded. Each level connects with four threaded rods that join the cabinet's metal sides to the shelves. These sides provide structure and enclose the ends and, along with the translucent plastic backs, keep stuff from falling off the shelves.
